Heavy rain hits Beijing causing flooding, mudslides

Nearly 800 people were evacuated and 35 scenic locations closed as days of heavy rain hit Beijing and surrounding areas from July 15, Caixin reports. Warnings of lightning, heavy rainfall, flooding and mudslides were issued. Mountainous roads in Miyun and Huairou districts were closed following mudslides.
