"Let’s Talk About Trees" An Invitation to Art Exhibition

Join us for an Artist's Reception featuring the mixed media work of Member Artist Jeremy Joan Hewes.

Jeremy Joan Hewes is our featured artist in a show titled “Let’s Talk About Trees.”
Jeremy’s mixed-media works often include trees. “A patch of woods is like home to me,” Jeremy says. “I grew up wandering deciduous woodlands in Ohio and now embrace the oaks and conifers of Sonoma County, with it's year-round green.”

She adds, “My work celebrates trees for their beauty and their crucial role in our environmental future.”

Jeremy combines her photographs - of trees up close and in the landscape - with her acrylic paintings on paper or canvas or with handmade papers from a variety of places. By printing a photograph on very thin paper and collaging that to another paper or canvas, she creates pieces in which the images combine and the foreground and background interact.

The show “Let’s Talk About Trees” continues through November 26th

Meet Jeremy and the other member artists at the reception this Saturday. October 7th from 4 to 6 p.m.
