Chongqing slashes waste, emissions

Chongqing has managed to make cuts to its trash-related emissions, reported thepaper. According to a member of the City Management Committee, the city reduced its emissions by 478,400 tonnes over the past eight months. This marks a 1.42% reduction from the same period last year. Improvements were made through reuse and burning trash to generate electricity.
